Call for Demonstrations at VCIP 2018

VCIP (The IEEE International Conference on Visual Communications and Image Processing) has a long tradition of exhibiting the cutting edge technologies as well as envisioning the future technologies for visual communications. VCIP 2018, sponsored by the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society, will be held in Taichung, Taiwan, from 9 – 12, December 2018. The Conference and Program Chairs invite all researchers and practitioners who work in the areas related to visual communications to submit original proposals for demonstrations at the conference.

Demonstration submissions are welcome in any of the areas related to visual communications identified in the Call for Papers. Some areas may be particularly interesting to the audience, such as image and video coding, image and video analysis, image and video synthesis and rendering, visual data transmission, and emerging techniques for new media, including Virtual Reality (VR), point cloud data capture, processing and communication.

Potential authors are encouraged to submit demonstrations on both practical systems and research prototypes. All submissions will be peer-reviewed to ensure quality. In particular, authors are encouraged to provide, in their proposals, Web links containing videos about the proposed demonstrations. Demonstrators will be provided with space, poster and network access (with special request). Participants will be responsible for providing their own computing, display, network and sensor equipment, and any additional software and hardware that are needed for the demonstration.
